A WARM EMBRACE

A WARM EMBRACE

A Warm Embrace

To be held in a hug and feel the heat of another human being. Have you felt the warm embrace of the Lord?

After repenting, spending the night crying, then seeing, feeling, and deepening that the God of the universe calls you daughter or son.

Even when we feel alone we are not lonely because of his love in there.

He embraces us like a soldier coming back from war and their family is standing there waiting for them. The family begins to run right to them and embrace them.

Have you ever felt the warm embrace of the father?

That after all your tears, soaking your pillow with water from your eyes, you feel a sense of peace that you can't explain.

Let it be known to you today that the Lord will give you a warm embrace with open arms when you run to him.

Always RUN to GOD not away.

Scriptures that fill like God is hugging you:

John 1:39  KJV

“He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.”

John 1:39 KJV

Jesus invited the disciples to sit with him.

Prayer

Jesus, I thank you so much for your experience with the disciples and in the Bible. In John 1 verse 39 you invited the disciples to dwell with you. So I come before you, Father, to dwell with you at any hour of the day. I pray, heavenly father that I'm able to experience you as a friend and encounter your presence like a warm embrace. Thank you, Father, for the gentle hugs that make me feel like I belong even when the world is telling me something else. I turn to you and rely on you when I need to cry and for you to turn even my deepest emotions and my tears into joy again. IN JESUS NAME, AMEN

Luke 15:11-32 Prodigal SON

“Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them. “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.

“When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

“But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate. “Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. ‘Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’ “The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’ “ ‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ ””

Luke 15:11-32 NIV

The prodigal son returning back to his father

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I thank you for the parable of the prodigal son. I pray Lord, that whenever I commit a sin, I don't run away from you. I pray I have a heart to surrender, and to come towards you, whenever I have walked away, or lead myself astray. Lord, the same way that the father embraced his son, and was filled with love and compassion when his son returned home is the same way you are filled with love and compassion and you embrace us when we return to you after we have neglected you. Lord, I repent for any time I've chosen other things, whether it's money, time, or even myself above you. I pray that you give me a heart that always runs towards you, and not away from you. I pray that you cover me with your precious blood. IN JESUS NAME, AMEN

Prayer:

Jesus, I thank you that you are full of mercy and you are truth itself. Lord, your desire for us to be righteous and to have incomprehensible peace so I thank you for that. That your mercy renews every morning and when I meet with you, it's like mercy and truth have met together. Your righteousness and your peace are so remarkable that it feels like a warm cozy blanket in the middle of December. Thank you Father for unfailing love, because your love is always enough.  IN JESUS NAME, AMEN
